Kansas City Romantic
After moving down to Austin on a rainy Sunday (it really did rain. It was that dramatic.) and somehow managing to organize 75% of my life into my sweet little apartment with the help of my roommate, and both of our boyfriends, I then flew to Kansas City barely 12 hours later for work. My stay in KSC evolved from what was to be a 3-day stay to a 8-day training-fest. Luckily, I have a (brilliant) friend up there who I was able to (unbelievably) coerce into hanging out with me on Saturday and Sunday.
Megan's a gem. She has a blog of her own, right here. She's one of a trio who call themselves, "The Romantics", an apt and fitting name for who they are at their core, and through a handful of strange, unusual, and beautiful circumstances, these girls have helped me tap into a side of me I didn't know I had, while encouraging me to bring out the hopeless romantic and indulge in the things that I loved but didn't think were socially acceptable.
With Megan, it's perfectly normal to take your camera about the Sunday morning farmers market, wear dresses or skirts to Church, have a dinner party with candles and wine, and paint on a blanket in a Rose Garden.
And I just adore these things.
